At Grey Fox Tactics, we believe in teaching what works, not what looks cool or what a manual says.

We’re a firearms training company based in South Central Pennsylvania, offering practical, modern instruction for gun owners, competitive shooters, and armed professionals. Whether you’re carrying for self-defense, training for a match, or just looking to shoot with more purpose, our goal is to help you develop real-world skills that actually hold up under pressure.

Our training philosophy is built on three pillars: safety, efficiency, and effectiveness. We focus on real-life applications, not theory. Every drill, every rep, and every concept we teach is tied to a practical outcome. We start with your goals, break down the complex skill sets required, and teach each individual technique in a way that’s clear, logical, and easy to retain.

This isn’t a “tactical” persona play. This is grounded, thoughtful, tested firearms training — for real people who want real results.

Lead Instructor

Adam has more than 15 years of law enforcement experience with over a decade as a firearms instructor. During that time he has served as a task force team member, supervisor, armorer, and firearms expert.

Adam began shooting competitively in 2012 starting in USPSA then moving to multi-gun competitions. He has achieved numerous accolades including winning The Welsh Mountain 2 Gun Challenge three years in a row. From his experience in the Action Shooting Sports, Adam saw the divide between what was being taught in traditional firearms training and what was proving effective in real application. Grey Fox Tactics was formed to bring lessons learned in the real world and on the competition stage together in a straight forward training program.

Adam holds NRA Instructor certifications for handguns, shotguns, and carbine rifles, Glock and AR-15 armorer certifications, and is a Maryland Qualified Handgun Instructor among other associated certifications.

Skill Level?

We want to make sure students are comfortable in the classes they attend to get the most out of the experience. Below see a description of the target skill levels we expect the shooters coming to our classes will bring with them.

Novice

Familiar with their firearms and how to use them. Know and can demonstrate the core safety rules of firearms safety.

Intermediate

Has likely been through some formal firearms training. Confident shooting at static targets from stationary positions.

Advanced

Well experienced and trained shooters. LE/Mil Instructors, B+ class competitive shooters, etc. Comfortable handling their firearms in dynamic, complex, moving environments.

Class Focus?

To give clear expectations for our students, we break training into three areas of focus. Keep in mind, every class will incorporate all three aspects to some degree.

Mechanics

These classes will focus on physical technique and mechanical movements. Simple target setups allow for intense self-analysis under multiple repetitions. Expect high round counts while you dial in your technique.

Application

Meshing your mechanics with their applicable environment. Clearing doorways, using cover, shooting competition stages. Application focused classes will likely have lower round counts with complex target arrays.

Theory

In theory focused classes we’ll go over things like ballistics and ammunition choices, equipment selection, legal considerations, etc. Classroom time, discussion, and demos will make up the majority of the day.
